Registration as a Parish Member
Those 18 years and older, wishing to become a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish are asked to call the parish office for an appointment to come in and register. Children who reach their 18th birthday need to register as an adult member of the parish separate from their parent’s registration.

Sacrament of Baptism

A parent pre-Baptism meeting is required prior to a child being baptized. Parents must be registered members of the parish. Call the Baptism-Prep Coordinator at 483-0757 to register for the pre-Baptism meeting and setting the date for Baptism. Baptisms are celebrated during the weekend Eucharist six times a year.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Those interested in becoming members of the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist) are invited to participate in the RCIA. Please call the Adult Spirituality Director, at the parish, 481-2330 extension 17.

Sacrament of Marriage

Please notify the parish office at least six months prior to the wedding date desired. A required pre-Marriage orientation meeting is held once a year on the first Sunday in January.

Visiting of the Sick

Please notify the parish office when a family member is in the hospital, a resident of a health care center, or is homebound.

The Anointing of the Sick

Please notify the parish office or call the emergency number (510-4398) if someone is in need of the Anointing of the Sick.  Please do not wait until the last moment to contact the priest or a chaplain.  Remember, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is no longer the "Last Rites."  This sacrament is also celebrated on the second weekend of each month after the weekend Masses.
